Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre - Belgium

A leading principal contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor for a high-profile engineering scheme in Mainland Europe. Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities: • Complete monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs and revenues. • Develop and maintain accurate project cashflow forecasts. • Measure, assess, submit, and negotiate variations to the contract. • Provide commercial and contractual guidance to the project team. • Prepare, submit, and negotiate final accounts for the project. • Review and certify subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts. • Ensure all commercial processes and procedures are followed at project level. • Prepare and manage project purchasing targets and cost budgets. • Monitor project changes to maintain continuous awareness of cost status. • Identify opportunities for value engineering with contractors and consultants to deliver cost-effective, fit-for-purpose solutions. • Produce clear and comprehensive scopes of work in line with the project’s build specification. • Manage procurement of all subcontract packages in accordance with company standards and sustainability goals. • Prepare scopes of work and trade package documentation. • Compile and recommend a selected tender list for approval. To apply for the role the Quantity Surveyor must have the following: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor. • ONC, HNC, or equivalent technical qualification. • Demonstrated success in a comparable role within the M&E sector. • Chartered status with RICS/CIOB or a commitment to achieving membership. • Proven ability to deliver projects within demanding timeframes. • Strong strategic planning skills with a methodical approach to workload management.
